Liberation of the Netherlands Photo Album

The Ontario Regiment’s role in the liberation of the Netherlands was covered previously in this article.

Note that the crews have adopted the practice established in Northwest Europe of welding extra track to the hull for added protection. This was generally not done in Italy.

Rod Henderson

Rod Henderson is the Regimental Historian of the Ontario Regiment. He served as a Sergeant in the Regiment and is the author of “Fidelis Et Paratus: A History of The Ontario Regiment (RCAC), 1866-2016”.

Undated photo. Another photo of two of Bob Wilson’s tank crew. This one shows a clear view of a feature that appeared on many of the Regiment’s tanks at this time. There is a solid wooden board mounted to the front of the tank at the top of the transmission cover. The board supports the storage of more gear.
