Reenacting at the Museum
The Museum’s mission is to entertain and educate the public regarding Canadian Military History.
In order to accomplish this mission, the Museum partners
Bringing Historical Reenactors into the Museum Events bring a level of history and excitement to Museum events that is unique in the world. The Museum brings Period camp sites, Authentic Military Vehicles, Pyrotechnics, Artillery, and Reenactors together for an experience for the whole family.
Reenacting at the Museum
The Museum is open to most reenactment groups to participate in our events or even use our grounds for group training; regardless of their time period. However, the Museum has strict protocols and safety requirements that must be met.
Only Museum Recognized Reenactor Groups may participate in events at the Museum and only at Museum sanctioned events.
- “Walk up” Reenactors may not participate nor even appear in uniform or with any weapon and/or replica weapon at the Museum.
- All Reenactors are required to attend Museum Safety Training prior to any tactical demonstration or battle reenactment.
- Reenactors must not allow Museum Guests to handle/hold weapons at any time.
- Reenactor groups must have and display a high standard of historically correct uniforms, drill, and presence.
- The Museum has a zero tolerance policy towards speech, actions, and/or portrayals that involve or seem to condone racism, extremism, harassment, sexism, or anything that violates the Museum’s Code of Conduct.
- All reenactors must follow the Museum’s Reenactor Policy at all times while at the Museum.
